Barnes & Noble’s of the Midwest

Does every Barnes & Noble have this high school study hall feel to it? This photo blows my mind because I’ve never felt this way walking in. It’s like death and repetition are captured in this photo. When I walk into one of these corporate bookstores I don’t feel this way. I feel compelled to loose several hours to wandering and several dollars to hopeful improvement. What does your conglomerate inspiration look like?

  1. Unusually uninspired configuration. It must be in a highly populated area. The design seems more utilitarian than others I have visited. Looks like they really pack ’em in at this location. Is it near a college?
