I’ve read several articles that state one should never edit their work until it is complete. I am fearfully of this because I am on my sixth rewrite of a book who’s storyline is still vastly incomplete. The words seem to flow with greater ease after every pass, so it can’t be entirely harmful. Although, the edits may never cease as there is always room for improvement.

  1. The only way a novel is complete is when all your editing is complete, not just spelling and grammar, but does everything in the book fit and complete the story? The book is complete when you know in your heart the book is complete.
