The roof that you are looking at was a tiny little dive restaurant in our small Midwestern town. It was a bit of a hidden gem that took me two years to discover. I wish I’d taken the time for more internal photographs and writing time. It was truly a gem.
They have since purchased an old downtown window front restaurant location and have moved. Their hodge-podge of tables and chairs have been replaced with a unified restaurant look. They have conformed to the masses and I failed to memorialize their artistic start.
I will not be surprised when this old building is destroyed. It will happen to make room for a much taller building. I am thankful I’ve at least been able to memorialize a bit of the buildings structure and character.
